OK I have been searching for a kayak for months. Narrowed it down to these 2. I am 5’ 9" 250lbs. Want a Kayak for fishing and workout. Only want to buy it once and keep for a long time. Would like to go out in the gulf of Mexico some day for the big fish. Which of these is better and is 13’ long enough for 1-3 miles offshore?
Wilderness Ride is my preference
I would recommend that you not go 1-3 miles offshore in anything alone until such time as you have done it repeatedly with company that is skilled in navigation and rescue. The ocean is not something to screw with. It has no remorse or pity.
