Old Town Canoe serial number?

I have an OT Tripper and was just curious if anyone out there could tell me how to make sense out of the serial number.The first two characters are XT.I kind of have that much figured out.The rest is greek to me.I think there are nine more letters or numbers after XT.Thanks for any help.

noombers be de year it waar built. De real old boats serial noombers didn't use dem standards, ah' believes.
