Hi all. Finally tried my new Boreal Design Ookpik (plastic) 13' kayak in August and finally have time to talk about it (November). If you are looking for a shorter 13 footer kayak which can handle a larger paddler (6'3" 230lbs) that tracks very well and is easy to carry around, then this is the one for you. After many great debates with you guys, I opted not to go with the rudder and after using it for a couple of weeks, did not need one as far as I am concerned. As for the kayak itself, it was wonderful. Can't wait until next spring to try it out again.
