I have seen two kayaks for sale lately, both Perception touring, with formed, not round, hatch covers. And the word(s) OuterQuest stamped on them. Google gets me nothing on that name, except a kayaking school somewhere. So what kind of boats are these, what model?
If you look at the stern near the rudder, you’ll see “aqua er a.” Pretty sure it used to spell Aquaterra, which Perception produced. No idea what the “outerquest” means. Maybe the name of the hatch cover?
Google “Aquaterra” and you’ll get a few hits.

Its an aquaterra, late 90’s early 2000, I cant tell you the type, but I saw it in a catalog I found on the internet a long time ago when I was looking up specs for the Sea Lion I bought. I cant find the link now. If you get it you will need neoprene covers that are then protected by the plastic covers.
From the font and how the name appears to be stenciled, I’d guess that OuterQuest is/was the name of the outfitter that used it or if someone had named the kayak.
Yeah, hunted down that model name last night. Curious that two of them with the same “OuterQuest” name stamped on them popped up recently from different sellers. Ah well.
