I’ve just bought a fiberglass kayak and will need to store it outside under a tarp. I was going to set it deck side up on several short pieces of pressure treated wood to keep it off the ground. However, since it’s only being supported on the center line I question if that’s a good idea over time.
Any advice is appreciated.
Cut wood
Try cutting v shapes into the wood to match the shape of the yak.
Maintain some space…
between the tarp and the boat. You want air to circulate.
New ideah
10 -12 foot 2x4 with the v boards inbetween like a ladder and pieces standing up to hold the tarp.
Foam Padding
Would also help distibute the pressure on the yak.
