I am looking for an overnight river canoe camping trip for a group of scouts, ages 12 - 16. May or June, preferably MA, NH or RI. Last year we did the Charles River and camped at Rocky Narrows, which was perfect. Any suggestions?

The local livery is Foote Brothers in Ipswich. They own an island and they accomodate the scouts.

CT River
Another good one is to paddle from Vernon, VT to Gill, MA on the CT river, with an overnight at Munn’s Ferry campground. Northeast Utilities will rent you canoes, shuttle you the boats, and your gear to the put-in, and coordinate the camping (They own the campground).
Very nice paddle of about 18 - 20 miles over 2 days.

The North River (Hanover/Pembroke/Norwell/Marshfield/Scituat) is a tidal estuary that has a couple good spots to camp.
