I saw a new P&H boat with a keel strip. They are not putting extra layers of glass (tape?) down, but using the same thick vinyl like tape that they use to cover the joint where the deck and hull meet instead. Anybody know of a source for a similar marine grade vinyl like tape or tried something like this on their hull to create a keel strip?

The joint between the hull and deck is a “H” section so the hull/deck fit into the opening on the H and allow the decks to be joined to the hull easily. This is not what is used for a keel strip, obviously.

sounds like a custom job. our keel strips are kevlar - however we will typically match the seam color with the keel strip - or match hull color - or whatever the customer specifies.
