can anyone recommend a relatively inexpensive but durable chair kit for your sleeping pad? like a Thermarest Trekker, but I don’t see why these things cost $30-50 for a couple of straps and nylon sleeves. It’s cheaper to buy a Crazy Creek or other portable chair.
Why ARE those so pricey?
I skipped the kits and went for a little chair. I got the Trailsling from GCI, but they discontinued it. Lots of people hate that thing, but I like it.
The chair kits always seemed to me like sitting on a regular stadium seat, and I never liked the idea of putting an expensive sleeping pad at risk. On the other hand, I do have a couple of cheap padded stadium seats that double nicely as 3/4 or 1/2 length sleeping pads in a pinch.
