This is my 5th Tarpon over a bunch of years. I am apparently a slow learner.
I may be remembering incorrectly, but this one just doesn’t have the feel of the previous iterations. It’s a 2023 model.
I have a very high COG and at first it felt like a log but I adapted. Along the log comparison, it takes a lot more effort to move than my Pungo 140. Paddling into a head wind was tough.
It’s 15lb lighter than my old T160 and has a good seat , esp if you weigh 300.
I think it will be good for small waterways like swamps.
Time for a Sparkleberry trip?
