Northern Forest Canoe Trail is sponsoring a 3-day introduction to canoeing and camping for kids, 8 - 15 yrs old. It’s scheduled for July 15-18 at the Paul Smith’s College Alumni Campground, Paul Smiths, NY. More info here:

With only 20 slots, I’ll bet the wait list is a mile long.
I should note that the campground is relatively small and definitely “rustic”. No electricity or running water, and no C-store across the street. Best to be sure first-time campers know what to expect in advance.
