Paddling in Europe-Belgium/France?

I have a weekend to explore and am stationed in Mons, Belgium which is near the north east corner of France. I would be willing to drive several hours to find a beautiful river to paddle.

Any suggestions? Would need to rent, preferably a canoe, but could do Kayaks.

if there is enough water now
the Semois or Ourthe

Thank you for your response.

There has been a lot of rain recently so I would hope the levels are good.

Do you have a preference?

Conclusion
We paddled the Semois yesterday and used “Semois Kayak” for rental and shuttle service. We did find that “a canoe” has different interpretations as I would have considered it an open tandem kayak. We paddled the 15k from just above the castle in Bouillon down to Poupehan and it took about 3.5 hours with one short stop. The river is beautiful with medieval looking forests and it is relatively pristine. The water level was just enough so that the occasional hangup was tolerable. Lots of ducks and I especially enjoyed the swallows cruising around us at eye level for much of the trip.

Thanks again as always for the help received here.
