Paddling the west branch of the Susq.

I am looking for suggestions for 4 to 6 hour one day trips along the west branch of the Susquehanna.( possibly near Lock Haven) We are in recreational boats and typically do not use spray skirts. We are not against using operators for transportation up stream, but do not necessarily need one either.

Thanks !!

You may want…
to try getting hold of someone at McCracken Canoe. They have have a livery/sales business right near the put in at Shawville on the W Branch. http://www.mccrackencanoe.com/ They can provide shuttles and lots of info on the river too.

The north branch is flat as a pancake with a couple exceptions for a lot of miles. I did about 15 miles of incredibly slow and flat water a couple weeks ago. If you're interested let me know. I'm east of you where 80 & 81 meet.
