No, carrying gear for overnight camping is a key feature of “tripping” :wink:
Touring is just covering distances to get somewhere
with or without much gear.
For day trips there is ample space for gear in some “surf skis”.

The only questionable thing is that these boats are designed for understern rudders not for overstern rudders. In steep waves this can be a shortcoming as I have experienced. You really need to steer with your paddle then, and a wing blade isn’t particurlary good for that.
