Easkys from Venture Kayak
Yes (Vela)- that shallow arch hull moved fwd. onto the whole Easky range from Venture. Although wider - there is still quite abit of resemblance with hull and chine - and Easkys geared toward introductory and touring. We still do a few Velas - and will continue to be available - like the sirius - however - the Capella 161 has taken over for smaller paddler’s boat.
Capella 161 for smaller people?
Depends on how small? Better be taller than 5’ 5" and heavier than 130.

My impressions = you hit it out of the park! What a wonderfully crisp performing blend of responsiveness and speed. Really quite the sportscar feel. Gotta get me one of these!
Dorothy & Karen Knight obviously had a blast with it and have been bubbling about their new (or as soon as they’re in) kayaks.
Took the proto. out to “rinse it off” for Karen today before we drop it off to her. Had a blast skidding it around bouys and putting some distance on it with the Greenland Paddle trying out some moves that Allison Sigethy was showing us at the festival. All good fun.
