Anyone paddled this canoe by Esquif? Place in Missouri actually has them, which surprises me, since you wouldn’t think anywhere in MO would have a Canadian canoe.

But I was told by a Canoe aficionado that the Presage is essentially a leaner version of the venerable Old Town Appalachian , a legendary all arounder with surprising speed and whitewater handling. The Presage is maybe an inch narrower and it has sharper entry lines, it will probably be more nimble but suffer a bit when punching waves. In my opinion Esquif makes a great boat and depending on what kind of Canoeing you want to do, this would be a great go-to boat.

Great boat for whitewater and tripping. Bombproof and thus seriously heavy.
