The Dog hits Superior about 18 miles west of Michipicoten. It starts up in Obtanga PP. Denison Falls is the last BIG drop (100+ feet) before the lake. Although to add interest to the portage once you get to the bottom of Denison there is still another big ledge & that requires a rappel down about 30 feet.
Here is part 1 of video from a group that did the Dog about 7 years after we ran it. Based on the vague remains of my memories I think that we had rather more water than they did (or not).
