My parents had an orange urethane coleman and told me I could have it. I said no thank you. I don’t want to have to portage an 80+ pound canoe.

Coleman listed the 15 footer I have at 74lbs. That seems about right. I think the 17’ was 79lbs.

The true way you will know is to weigh it.

Erie canal at Lockport ny. The upside down bridge and the locks. Between the head wind and boats going thru the locks and the water released from the locks there were times that we were paddling and going nowhere.

Some good kayak sailing lately - a bit unusual for the summer when there is often no wind (or way too much wind in a thunderstorm). Mirage 580 with Sea Dog 0.8 m2 sail (My Everglades Challenge rig). Shell Key Preserve and Three Rooker Bar - Tampa Bay area.
