yep shorter boats
turn easier . In tight rivers it makes a big diffrence. Especially with fast current.
Definitely check out the Victory
Classic 12. I think the last ad I saw from Dicks’ was advertising it and of the of other former WS, former Victory models under Dicks’ “exclusive” new names but with the usual bargain prices. Mine does very well where I’ve tried it on flat water and very mild Class I rapids. Good speed and manuverability. If you scrape and bounce off a rock it may get a scratch. You’ll probably want to add float bags and rigging, rod holder, etc., like I did. But when I got mine last year I got such a good price that I went right out and bought another boat. Right now I’m trying to figure out how to justify to my wife the purchase of a 3rd ostensibly for visitors or the 7 year-old.
Dick’s isn’t a bargain
Call Appomattox River Company. You can “Google” them. You’ll get a better boat cheaper than going to Dick’s, even paying for shipping. They’re also the real thing, so whoever you talk to will actually know which end goes towards the front and that it does make a difference how you hold a paddle even if it has two ends.
