Question about Mohawk hull diagrams

Yes, that’s it.

I looked over those details years ago, and it took a bit of comparing to figure out what was going on. Basically, "B" indicates a point which is 36 inches away from center on the diagrams for the Odyssey 14 AND the Solo 14, and that dimension is not related to where the rocker starts, except as a reference location that the actual point of rocker initiation can be compared to. There's both a description and an arrow showing where the rocker actually starts on both boat models, and if you look closely, you can see that that's where the line indicating the profile of the hull diverges from the line that is extrapolated from the rocker-less center section. The 36-inch reference is just that, a reference, but why they chose to put it there is not clear.

I agree with pagayeur that this is potentially useful information, even though his initial assessment of the meaning of point "B" was not correct, because rocker on different boats does start at different distances from center. For example, if you compared rocker specs for the Mad River Guide/Freedom Solo to the Nova Craft Supernova, there wouldn't seem to be much difference at all, but in fact the difference between the rocker shapes on those two boats is huge (The Supernova's rocker runs all the way to center, while the rocker of the Guide/Freedom Solo is almost entirely within three feet of each end). This discussion brings up another reason that specs for "rocker" alone do not necessarily convey much info.
