Heritage Kayaks made 15’ Sea Dart KV and Sea Dart XL sit on top kayaks back in the late 90s. Curious if anyone remembers anything about these particular models…were they kevlar or fiberglass? About how much did they weigh? They’re different than the heavy plastic versions (which I own).
From what little information I could find, they don’t mention what they were made with. The nearly universal complaint was the weight at 63 lbs., but other than that people seemed to like them. Suggested price when new was $700. Given the price, I would think that they were plastic, but definitely not Kevlar. My18’ Kevlar boat is only 45 lbs.
