Children’s Advocacy Center planning benefit kayak/canoe race on Ohio River between Evansville, Indiana and Henderson, Kentucky during “Come Down to the River” event July 16, 2016. Any suggestions, or directions to good resources/paddling groups in the area would be greatly appreciated.

I live in Evansville and could possibly offer some assistance. Do you have a starting and finishing location planned?
As I am sure you are aware, going from Evansville to Henderson will require crossing the Ohio River which is fairly broad and has the potential for significant barge traffic. You should probably plan to have safety boaters available for rescues if needed.
