Last year I canoed 10 days in Temagami (Lady Evelyn River) and portaged the toughest I have ever seen. It rained the entire 10 days. The rain gear we had got awefully beat up and reached a saturation point.I am looking for the proper gear that will be packable, tough as heck (withstand slipping down rocks on your butt) and will remain waterproof. Any suggestions?
Wilderness Tripping
Seems like there was a pretty good discussion over on the Wilderness Tripping Board.
Yes check out that thread - but
for the kind of tripping you describe I think there is nothing that really keeps you dry - but the toughest and best would probably be a set of very high end foul weather gear which will be very expensive.
