Has any one fished raritan bay and caught fish?
depends on what you want to fish for
I’ve caught blue fish with jigs, spoons and tube, Flounder and Fluke on the bottom and Weak fish. there is all types of fish. If your Kayaking make sure you check the tides and weather. A good spot is off the Keansburg amusement area.
Raritan Bay
Ive fished thre Raritan bay almost most of my younger life. As in the other response is correct. Also between Staten Island and NJ there a channel fluke , flounder are there also Near the lighthouses are great for rock bass etc. Used to anchor out from light house and hooked a rock on other side to keep from drifting into lighthouse. Watch weather and tides it can get rough out there. also keep clear of motorised boats a lot of them may swamp you. Atherwise fish a great day. Good luck!!! Oh from the great kills harbour there is an old cement barge great fishing in that area, clams also are plentyful rake for them at low tide the water is knee deep there.
