Replacement rudder raise/lower line for

composite Aquaterra Sea Lion? It appears to have 3/16" shock cord (it stretches some), but it doesn’t seem to slide easily through either of the block thingies at/on the rudder assembly on the stern.



What should I replace that line with?



I’ve had the Sea Lion for a couple years and don’t paddle it much and have only used the rudder to verify that it still moves freely. It worked smoothly when I first got it. I’m planning to sell it soon and would like to have it in top working order for potential buyers to test paddle.

If it is shock cord it shouldn’t be, should be polyester line. Most decent kayak shops stock it.
