I have finally found a decent canoe…I am thinking of buying a wenonah sprit II that is overall in good but dirty shape. The problem is the gunwales need to be replaced. The asking price is $400. it is tuffweave. I was wondering where and how much replacement wood gunwales might be. Maybe $400 is too high? The hull is in really good shape and the outside strips are the only thing that need replacing and the ends are the only bad part. Can those be ordered from Wenonah? Any info is much appreciated!!! Thank you in advance.
