Has anyone paddled the lower Roanoke River in NC? I am planning a trip and would like some insight. Where can I find out about the platforms? I know where to register to use them, but I would like to know which ones have toilets on them. Also, I would like to know about the river itself. Is there anything I should watch out for? Thanks in advance.

Paddling up river; how difficult is it? We plan on paddling from the conine creek mouth up to the Devils Gut opening.

the roanoke
none of them have actual toilets. they have enclosures for privacy, but bring some plastic bags to carry waste. remember, pack it out!



the river itself is a float … no rapids, no obstructions.
