I wonder… I just bought me a Dagger Delta and wish to mount a rodholder from Scotty. I usually, or only, do flyfishing and have bought a Scotty fly-rodholder. But, should I use the flush deck mounted bracket or the deck mounting bracket? I think maybe the reel will get in conflict with the deck by using the flush deck mounted bracket. Any ideas?

mounts, particularly in salt water where wave action is said to wash water into the mount and boat. I've a Scotty flush mount and fish fresh water. I've noticed no problems and do like it. You may want to post your question on the fishing forum.
