I have a truck so I have the Thule x-sporter so I can lower it and it not be an issue in parking garages, the same can’t be said if my Kayaks are on top though. My friend has a trailer and its awsome when there is a group of us going because we can hook the trailer, carry all the boats, and cut down on the number of vehicles going. Trailers are easier to load. Loading my kayak on my truck can be a challenge alone considering I have a Chatham 17 and its heavy. Racks are great due to not having parking issues, but a trailer has a lot of perks. It just depends on your style of paddling, and the types of put ins you’ll prodominately use. I appoligize for the poor spelling. I’m a product of NC public edumacation. Hahaha.
