Anyone paddled it?
A friend and I went swimming there on our long drive back from AK. The July water temp was mild, the water itself clear, the bottom pleasantly gravelly. And it’s big enough to make a camping trip out of.
I’m trying to think of good sites for future kayak-camping trips of at least one week. I’ve given up on the notion of extensive wilderness paddling in the interior western U.S. (biggest backcountry lake is Shoshone Lake), but if Roosevelt does not get crowded, that might fit the bill.
