Row-Wing Scout

I recently saw an add for the Row-wing Scout made by the Piantedosi Oar Co. It is a sliding seat rower made specifically for a canoe.



Is anyone familiar with this product? It looks like a great low cost alternative for someone who was interested in a sliding seat wherry.



Any input would be appreciated.

I don’t know about the Scout, but Piantedosi’s riggers are popular and have a good reputation.
The oarlocks are further apart than your gunnels for using longer oars. The sliding seat lets you use your legs for power.
