I’m looking for an adhesive that will make a load-bearing bond for wood to royalex.
I’m thinking of installing new seats in my royalex canoe, and really am not all that enthralled with the tubes and screws dangling from the gunnels traditional design. I was thinking of mounting cleats to the interior of the hull and mounting the seats on those.
If I can avoid putting screws through the hull, I’d like to. But that would take an adhesive that I can have a lot of confidence in, and I’m not sure there’s one out there.
Any recommendations?
