another Croc
Crocs makes one called the “Off Road” model… it’s got a bit thicker rubber covering the toes, a bit beefier tread, and the heel strap is a rubber padded Velcro strap so you can cinch them a little tighter… so they DON’T come off.

Yes, as another poster mentioned… they make a rather “unique” sound when wet, but it’s bearable.

in response to the post not recommending them for scouring around… unless you’re in super heavy brush where your heels might get scraped up a bit, I find the Off-Roads pretty good for that too.

keen
I love my keens but I am not so keen about hem in my kayak, I prefer them on land or walking through the water. Somthing a little softer or lighter and more flexible would be nicer in the kayak.

I will be playing some disc golf in my keens today!

Keen Boulder
I thought the Keen H2O would work and tried them on at a local store. With my foot shape, I could see my little toe squeezing out through the side opening, particularly with a side-stress movement.

I bought the Keen Boulder (from Mountain Gear on line). They are more like a shoe, but essentially the same design as the H2O, and give better toe-box protection. I like them so far (had them for a month). They keep all the little piggys at home!!

Another thing wrong with Crocs
is that they will melt if you stand in a pile of still-hot charcoal briquets.

Trust me.
