Sawyer Loon Decked Canoe????

SeaWind
Yes , I could sell it for about 3 grand . Its been used twice since I

bought it in 06 . It did take a good kick in shipping , and has light

gell coat work in one side . It has the pole to rig with another sea wind,

the spray skirt and a cockpit cover . One of the covers has a mouse hole

in it . Its been in my garage for years . I am in Northern NJ .

not anymore!!!
Thanks for the heads up and that baby is mine!

I still have the one on order from the west coast which I now will likely be selling after it arrives.

anyone know someone looking for a Loon as it appears that I now have two!

Matt

What construction & weight is the Loon
on it’s way from the west coast? My loon weighs about 56 lbs. My understanding is that some weighed as little as 50 lbs. Of course, I probably don’t have enough money to pay what you’d want, anyway.

I also excuse your post, coronaboy.
No doubt we will both continue as we are.

I think that it is
55 pounds. I believe that was what the seller had mentioned and believe it is a fiberglass layup. Color is white and it has a rudder.

The original owner told me that, “Pete Fives, who was the original owner of this particular canoe, paddled it around Baja with Verlen Kruger as well as Alaska to Seattle on the outside route around Vancouver Island.”

So I guess this one has some history…

Shoot me an email if you may be interested in it. Where are you located?

Matt

Joewildlife Maybe?
I’ll let him know and then maybe he’ll let go of that Monarch! WW

That’s the same weight as mine, so…
it wouldn’t be a weight improvement over the one I have.

I doubt that it will take long for you to find a new home for it.

Matt, to be honest, any discussion

that promotes interest in canoes as opposed to kayaks is a good discussion in my opinion. You're playing close to the edge with the "decked canoe" thing, though! Thank you.

And So, Matt,
“Just ONE more boat till we quit it”?

Keep on posting - I love your parade of boats.

Mike

Loon Monarch Sea Wind Oh My!
I’ve got the Monarch that Terry mentions above…

I’m now interested in all these canoes and wish I had 1 Loon, 1 Monarch, 1 Sea Wind…and from there might as well have 1 Superior Expedition and 1 Clipper Sea 1.

Yeah, I’m just like the rest of you, we all like our canoes…

Terry, you will have to show me why I would want something other than the Monarch if you could ever hope to get it back…but as you know, it is always here and you can pick it up anytime you want to use it…that was part of the deal as I understood it!

But it will be in use the last week of July kicking *ss on the Missouri 340 race!

JOe

worth?
I’ve got a Sawyer Loon, kevlar, fairly light (50ish pounds?), sliding / adjustable seat (on tubes) in good shape except for some damage to the rudder that I repaired. I’ve never fallen in love with it and can’t decide if I need to give it more time or get a boat that more closely matches my preferences and style. About what are these worth?
