I have a rather beat-up sawyer safari with a square stern. I am trying to find the HIN and what year manufactured etc. I have the data plate which identifies it as a safari 18’ the width, depth, and capacity. There is a stamped number ‘27243’ to the left of data plate. Where should the HIN number be located? I am pretty sure HIN’s are 12 characters long, and start with manufactures code (saw). Can the serial number be converted into what the HIN should be? Thanks in advance
