Anyone have one? Does it really paddle like a hard shell?
Almost. I demo’ed one and the Drop Stitch hull is very stiff, even at my weight. But it does not glide like a hard boat or turn like one either. It would be a nice boat to keep in your RV or take on vacations if space is an issue, but I wouldn’t want one as my “daily driver”.
Thanks. That’s what I thought. Since I don’t have an RV…
One of our Airstream friends had one. Good design for a canoe. Just not a kayak. They were easily able to keep up. Also paddled with one on an “epic” 20 mile paddle on the Ocklawaha River. I stopped to take a picture and the next time I caught up to them it was taken out. Both had good ridged boats for an inflatable. Flat stitching is a good thing. You will want a battery pump.
Like most boats though the overall speed is related to the “engine” power.
PS… Nice space saver, but I wouldn’t want it for primary boat either.
NRS has inflatables on sale.
