My kayak-buying advice is always the same: Buy the kayak.
I like the dimensions!

Colors?
Guys trust me I want to just “impulse” it as well but not sure it is the right move.
Here is a photo … very early so far so playing around with colors … any ideas ?
Colored hulls tend to really show scratches in my experience.
Especially on the bottom
That one looks good.
For me, fretting about scratches on the bottom hull of my boats would be equivalent to worrying about the soles of my shoes being scuffed. Doesn’t affect function so I don’t care and neither do the fish.
NY Mets! What’s not to love?
Nice colors.
Wander through the NDK/SKUK Owners Facebook group & you will see somevery interesting color choices. How about a dragon on the hull?
Would love that but will stick to the classic deck dragon
Looks awesome though !
Reminds me of a WW1 battleship with Dazzle camouflage.
Imagine the power boater trying to figure out how to run you over with that color pattern. It confused split prism rangefinders, so it might work on confusing a drunken boater.
I went through this when we were purchasing P&H Cetus kayaks. So many options. As I pondered the choices, I found several points that helped me.
First, was to keep it simple. Just because you can make it different colors, doesn’t mean you should, or have to.
Visibility on the water was important to us, so colors that contrasted with the waters we would boat in were chosen.
Lighter colors were preferred over darker ones, so that scratches would not stand out as much.
We ended up with this
And have been completely happy with our choices.
A friend of mine has the dragon on the bottom of her new Pilgrim, except in teal and white. It’s pretty cool in person.
