OK , a deep in a discussion, a while ago, we were talking about kayak seats and foam and contact cement. Somebody asked me what contact cement I recommended…and I got distracted…I don’t remember who or what discussion but it is the same contact cement I glue down formica and other laminates with, from most any hardware store, Weldwood, Contact Cement, “The Original” . I have three boats and a bunch of cabinets with this used. The boat seats stay down good. But use it with plenty of ventilation.

Concur with lots of ventilation. I usually only use contact cement outdoors.
Follow the directions and it works great.
Also for some reason a partially used can attracts ants 
No idea why.
