Yes same here.
In wind, I paddle feathered both sides (right or left - depending on wind direction)
The way I determine how to twist the shaft:
For right hand control, grip the paddle with the right hand (control hand) and twist the left side forward (ie knuckles are moving away from you).
For left hand control, just the reverse: grip paddle with left hand (control), twist right side forward to desired angle.
(I paddle at 60deg, have ‘white’ marked the paddles for this setting so I can see it in the dark (most of my paddling hours)).
note: surf or heavy seas I don’t paddle feathered, if I do happen to flip when feathered I will ‘feel’ for the blade before rolling
