Sevylor Colerado skeg

I’ve just bought a second hand Sevylor Colerado kyack. It was originally bought new at the London Boat Show. It hasn’t any mountings underneath for a skeg (they haven’t broken off or been removed) even though Sevylor insist that all Colerados were made with the appropriate mountings. Has anyone any ideas or suggestions on how to fit a skeg or how to make one suitable for this kyack?

The U.S. version of the Sevylor Colorado has no skeg.

The European site mentions a “removable fin and welded directional strakes for excellent manoeuvrability.” https://www.sevylor-europe.com/uk/p-222-colorado.aspx

There’s a photo of what appears to be the fin at that site but alas, no spare parts are available. Perhaps the photo might give you some ideas.
