Short, Skinny Kayak?

A tad bigger…
…but not much bigger.

If you can stretch your length limit to 16’ and width to 22", there’re tons of boats out there for you to try. NDK Romany, Valley Avocet, Tempest 160… These are boats for “full size” adults. They also typically have the characteristic you like (feels part of you, move with you on wave).

There’re even a few that are 15’8-10" and 21"ish berth. But those are generally build for smaller paddlers. Most notably, they tend to have lower deck, which could be uncomfortable if you’re on the medium to large height.

I’m on the small side, so I’m generally pretty up at the narrow and short boats on the offering. Some of them are usable even for medium size adults.

another possibility…
how about a Necky Eliza? marketed for women, but if you fit so what… it’s a lower-volume kayak a bit over 15’, just 21" wide, skegged, lightweight, beautiful lines

and to answer my own question from earlier regarding the Delphin: rep says it weighs “somewhere in the upper 50’s”
