What is the shortest/smallest paddler suitable for the Pelican Sonic 80X kids kayak (Sonic 80x kids kayak - pelican recreational kayak – Pelican Sport)? That is, what is the shortest child that can still reach the foot rests? We are planning to buy several of these for our 8 to 12 year-olds. It is 7’9" long, weighs 20 lb and has maximum weight capacity of 225 lb.
The larger youths who may be too large for these boats would use our adults boats, but i’m worried about the smaller kids. Should we get some even smaller boats (such as the Lifetime Wave 60, Blackwater Minnow, or other 6ft boats)?
