I’ve been paddling our local resevoir for some time now. Often I see friends on the bank fishing and they ask me if I ever fished out of it (which I haven’t so far).
I want to give it a try and remember seeing on the web some time ago a simple rig with a flat spool for the fishing line that slips under the deck bungees and some sort of shock cord leader.
It’s been long enough ago that I don’t remember the name or any details. Does anyone remember that, and can you give me info or a lead?

You might want to check out a Lash-It
kit from Superior Kayaks. You don’t have to drill any holes in your boat and they will hold any sort of light tackle rod and reel.
