Simple question - what size bungee

Should be a simple question - looking to replace the bungees on my Dagger Alchemy. Just looking for basic bungee. What diameter do I need?

According to kayakacademy.com, they recommend 3/16" for in front of the cockpit for holding charts, and 1/4" for the rest of the kayak.

Agree with KA suggestion for most folks. However, since regularly in surf or rough water I personally prefer 1/4 all round, especially for the forward bungee that holds my spare paddle. Luckily, we can choose the bungee size based on our regular/normal paddling conditions.
