Skim bought Kajaksport a number of years ago and bought the molds. They also did some tweaking on the Artisan. I have an original Artisan Millennium.
Kajaksport now supplies parts for many kayak manufacturers.

Saw a discussion on UK forum where they were fighting if skim was a tiderace knock off. They use to make tiderace there before moving production to Asia. Discussion goes for many pages.
