How difficult would it be to put a larger cockpit on , for instance , a Yostwerks SOF ?I’m thinking Rec size because I do not want my legs trapped under a deck.

I wrote to tom asking for him to refigure the Sea ranger LC with a smaller ocean cockpit and he wrote back within days with the new numbes for frame number 4.
If you ask him he may do the same in reverse for a larger cockpit opening.
Or you could just eyeball it.

Yarra LC
The Yarra LC (large cockpit) has an outline given for a really big rec-style cockpit. Not sure if this is what you had in mind, but it’s a starting point. You can also alter the standard Yost cockpit length by increasing the distance between profiles from 48mm to something larger to give the overall length you want. You should probably email Tom, he may have already generated a larger cockpit for the boat you’re interested in.

The beauty of building it yourself is that you can do pretty much anything you want. Larger cockpit is no problem.
