Dec. 2, 2017, I took a day trip to Martin Dies Jr. state park and paddled both marked and unmarked paddling trails along the Neches River.

Lots of change in scenery to paddling in the peace and quiet of the swamp bayous to paddling alongside the 18-wheelers on Hwy 190 as they drive over the bridge over the Neches River.

Fond memories of staying at Martin Dies Jr. in 2004 when we had a New Years Paddling.net Rendezvous. Thoroughly enjoyed the Neches, Angelina, and Village Creek. Thanks for the link!
