I just got an oswego canoe and it is 16’8. What is the best place to sit in it while going solo.

If it’s a tandem you’ll likely have to kneel leaning on one of the thwarts. You generally want to sit slightly behind the middle of the boat if paddled alone.

all thee are a bit right
I do not know your boat. But if you what to doe much solo in your tandem outfitting a kneeling twart or a 3rd seat helps a lot. idealy you will be placed just after the middle of your boat.
