An extra sheet of neoprene came with my Chota Mukluks, I assume for repairs. I found all kinds of uses for it. It makes a great paddle grip—thinner and more comfortable than Yak grips. Can also be used to cover sharp edges on a kayak (say, if you cut out the thigh braces) or cover a section of the coaming to make it more comfortable to carry. Here’s a source of 1/16" neoprene, 48" x 80", for $10 if you need it: https://www.thefoamfactory.com/closedcellfoam/neoprene.html
Thanks, that’s an interesting resource!
I wonder if you could use that to make neoprene neck gaskets?
