Has anyone ever paddling in the whitewater park in South Bend? Are there any instructors for white water kayaking in South Bend?

Have paddled it a few times
I have paddled there in an OC-1 (not much fun due to bailing), kayak, and rental ducky. It is open to the public on a limited basis (mid-June to mid-August) on weekends only. There is an East Race Kayak Club that paddles year round, but you must already be competent and have a solid roll to join. The Hoosier Canoe Club has historically had both a beginner’s clinic and a swift water rescue clinic there each year.
