Speakin of wood and canvas!

Thanks for posting
because I too have several wood dacron canoes.

My husband and I just spent a week lovingly refinishing the woodwork on one.

We reaffirmed our dedication to each other over 220 grit.

But we have no innate woodsworkingship and keeping the woodcraft knowledge going is so important. Our “refinishing” week with our mentor was priceless.

To me going to a canoe shop and smelling wood dust(especially if it is from a craft I am involved in) is far superior to plunking down my credit card for some pretty looking hull in a store.
